For the enthusiastic Golfer, we can offer Golf Club de la
Prèze within a short drive of St Saud.
The first 9 holes of
the course were built in 1990, the rest in 2004. The course,
in the heart of this beautiful rolling countryside is challenging
to golfers and is designed to extend and improve their game.
It is set on a spectacular 65 hectare plot and built to an
international standard. The course (par 72) is particularly
challenging with its many natural obstacles, its lakes and
its woodland.
Furthermore, the climate
is extremely agreeable - a mild winter and a summer with little
rain ensure that the course is always in excellent condition,
offering attractive fairways and fast, top-class greens.
There is also a 30-bay
driving range (some covered, some on open grass). There is
also a large pitching green and separate putting green, and
adjacent to the 9-hole golf course is a pitch and putt (par
3). It is ideal for beginners but can be used equally by experienced
golfers to improve their techniques.
The challenging new 9
holes have been designed by the golf course architect, Oliver
Van Der Vynkt (accredited by the French Golfing Federation
- FFG), who is responsible for the impressive design of the
course at the Château de Cheverny.
